John Stefovic, MD, Chief of Staff

Medical Director, Long-term Care

John Stefovic, MD, is a Family Practitioner, and practices in Ashland. In addition to serving as the Chief of Staff, Dr. Stefovic is the Medical Director for the Saint Catherine Healthcare Center located within the hospital.

After graduating from Juniata College, Dr. Stefovic completed his medical degree at the Penn State Hershey School of Medicine and his residency in Family Practice at Harrisburg Hospital.  Following a stint in the Air Force, where he served as the Chief of Primary Care, USAF Clinic at Goodfellow, Dr. Stefovic returned to the former Ashland Regional Medical Center. 

Anwar Nakkoul , MD, Chief of Medicine

Anwar Nakkoul , MD, is Board Certified in Internal Medicine with active practices in Ashland and Shenandoah.

Sanjiv Dewan , MD, Chief of Surgery

Sanjiv Dewan , MD, specializes in General Surgery with an active practice in Ashland.Dr. Dewan completed his residency at Episcopal Hospital in Philadelphia, and continued his practice at Northeastern Hospital, also in Philadelphia.

Dr. Dewan has more than 17 years of surgical experience, with special focus on laparoscopic, bowel, and breast surgery, as well as dialysis access surgery.

Colleen Connor , MD, Medical Director, Behavioral Health

Colleen Connor, MD, is Board Certified in Psychiatry and Geriatric Psychiatry.

Dr. Connor graduated from Pennsylvania State University College of Medicine, and completed her residency and served as Chief Resident at the University of California at San Diego. Additionally, she completed a Fellowship in Geriatric Psychiatry at the VA Medical Center in La Jolla, Ca.

Dr. Connor provides care to patients age 18 and older with a variety of mental wellness concerns, and specializes in the unique needs of geriatric patients.
